Denise Bidot built her name in Miami before the plus-size modeling world had much of a spotlight to offer, and she kept building even when nobody was watching.
She’s walked in New York Fashion Week shows specifically built around size inclusivity, modeled for major swimwear and lingerie brands, and used her platform to push back hard against the industry’s obsession with “acceptable” curves — the idea that there’s a right way and a wrong way to be plus-size.
She didn’t move to a bigger city to get noticed. She made her city notice the industry instead.
